Tajikistan is expected to experience hot and dry weather from May 14 to 17. In some regions, winds will intensify, and air temperatures may reach up to +41°C, according to the country’s Hydrometeorology Agency (Hydromet).
In Khatlon province, the weather will be dry with some light cloud cover. Winds will blow from the east at 4–9 m/s, increasing to 15–20 m/s on May 17. Nighttime temperatures in the valleys will range from +19°C to +24°C, while daytime temperatures will reach between +36°C and +41°C. In the foothills, nighttime temperatures will be between +15°C and +20°C, and daytime temperatures will range from +27°C to +32°C.
In Sughd province, the week will be dry with partial cloudiness. However, brief rain is possible in mountain areas on May 17. Easterly winds will blow at 4–9 m/s, occasionally reaching up to 15 m/s. Nighttime valley temperatures will range from +18°C to +23°C, with daytime temperatures reaching +33°C to +38°C. In mountainous areas, nighttime temperatures will range from +6°C to +11°C, and daytime temperatures from +23°C to +28°C.
Districts subordinate to the center (RRP) are expected to see cloudy weather without precipitation. Winds will blow from the east at 4–9 m/s. Nighttime temperatures in valleys will range from +18°C to +23°C, and daytime temperatures from +33°C to +38°C. In the mountains, temperatures at night will range from +10°C to +15°C, and during the day from +28°C to +33°C.
In the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region (GBAO), variable cloudiness is expected, with no precipitation. Eastern winds will blow at 7–12 m/s. In western GBAO, nighttime temperatures will range from +8°C to +13°C, in some areas up to +16°C to +18°C. Daytime temperatures will be between +24°C and +29°C, reaching up to +32°C to +34°C in some arears. In eastern GBAO, nighttime temperatures will drop to between -2°C and +3°C, and daytime temperatures will range from +13°C to +18°C.
