Lauren Walsh, Canice Screene and Anna Foster are al within striking distance on tightly-packed leaderboard after day one of the Dutch Ladies Open.
The Irish trio ensured there is plenty of green high up the standings at Goyer Golf and Country Club where Denmark's Sofie Kibsgaard and Poland’s Dorota Zalewska share the lead on four-under par.
Walsh is best placed after her round of 70 sees her two off the lead, and it could have been even better but for difficulties near the turn with the 23-year-old dropping three shots across holes eight and nine.
She sits shot better off than compatriot Screene on one-under par while Foster recovered from two bogeys in the first three holes to finish level-par 72.
Annabel Wilson was four-over through 11 holes before picking up two shots on the back none to finish on two-over (74) while Sara Byrne laboured to a 77 in a round that included seven bogeys and will have plenty to do to make the cut.
Denmark’s Kibsgaard carded a bogey-free round for the first 18 holes at the new venue for 2025 while Zalewska also impressed with a composed first round that featured an eagle on the 12th.
She dropped her only shot of the day on the 18th, to finish four-under par.
