Kuwaiti Oil Min. takes part in CERAWeek Conf.

KUWAIT, March 5 (KUNA) -- Kuwaiti Oil Minister and Minister of Water and Electricity Bukheet Al-Risheedi is taking part in the CERAWeek Conference in Houston, TX in the United States between March 5-9.
Cambridge Energy Research Associates (CERA) conference is a global oil and gas venue that gathers a large number of decisions makers, regional and international oil enterprises chiefs, as well as heads of cars and technology companies.
A number of special and public seminars, as well as workshops will take place during the conference, tackling investing in oil exploring and production in Northern and Latin America, Africa and Asia, as well as discussions production expectations in Canada in the short term.
It will also discuss the latest developments in the field of oil, especially in terms of transportation, as well as challenges encountering oil markets' production like adapting new policies and technologies in developing the electric cars in a wider range for a long term.
A seminar about climate change will take place, as the protection of environment is a collective responsibility but with various levels.

A number of key international oil companies like ARAMCO, ADNOC, TOTAL, SHELL, BP are participating as well.
OPEC ministers will gather with oil production companies in North America to round-up point views regarding the cooperation agreement between OPEC and non-OPEC members, with the aim to contribute in developing the basic pillars of the oil market, leading to recovery and balance in prices.
Al-Risheedi will hold a number of negotiations with participating members in order to boost cooperation on that matter.
In 1983, CERA was founded in Cambridge, Massachusetts by Daniel Yergin and James Rosenfield. The energy research and consulting firm quickly became known for its critical knowledge and independent analysis on energy markets, geopolitics, industry trends, technology and strategy. Each year, CERA clients gathered for a few days in Houston, Texas to attend the executive conference where they gained insight into the energy future while connecting with their peers.
